I'm Cailyn!! I'm here to help you in your lactation journey. If you have concerns or needs related to breastfeeding and providing breastmilk to your baby you have come to the right place! I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I provide in-home and virtual consultations for the northern part of Kansas City and northwest Missouri.
My Story
Breastfeeding is supposed to be one of the most natural things for humans. However, it can also be one of the most difficult things to do in your life, but also the most rewarding. Some of it can be stressful and down right painful. If it's becoming hard to navigate and you need assistance from a kind, caring, compassionate, expert I am here to help you!
I have been assisting families with breastfeeding for 16 years. I breastfed all four of my boys for a year or more. It wasn't always easy navigating painful latches, clogged milk ducts, mastitis, returning to work, pumping, having milk supply stressors, and weaning. With a strong support system we got through it and came out stronger.
My journey started before I became a mother. I worked and currently work in a NICU caring for premature infants and newborns, and helping families breastfeed for the first time. It can be such a stressful experience, but I am rewarded with the opportunity to be in these peoples lives.
To me, there is something very rewarding with being able to help people. Especially if it includes getting an infant to successfully breastfeed for the first time.
